Learn More About This Wine

The 2025 vintage of the Rose Konig is a blend of Blaufrankisch, St. Laurent, and Zweigelt from the vineyards in Heideboden, which have sandy and clay soil with some chalk. The wine is true to the motto “Everyone’s a King”, Rose Konig is a versatile cuvee for any occasion. Inviting and uplifting, it brings a sense of joy and is equally enjoyable on the terrace, at the beach, or paired with food.

The 2025 vintage was shaped by an eventful growing season. After a cold winter, March and April alternated between sunshine and rainfall, followed by a rather cool May that resulted in a relatively late flowering. Regular rainfall ensured a steady water supply, which proved essential during the hot periods in June and early July. August was surprisingly changeable, while the harvest period was mostly marked by clear blue skies. Overall, the conditions were excellent and laid the foundation for outstanding wines. After a few hours of skin contact, Rose Konig was gently pressed, spontaneously fermented, and aged in stainless steel tanks for several months.

Vibrant, inviting, and fruit-driven. Aromas of raspberries, fresh apples, citrus fruits, and delicate floral notes dominate the nose and continue on the palate. These are framed by a precise structure shaped by lively acidity, forming the basis for a subtle and elegant body. Light-footed yet with notable depth, the wine leads into an invigorating and carefree finish that once again highlights the fine fruit character.
