Rose Konig
Learn More About This Wine
The 2024 vintage of the Rose Konig is a blend of Blaufrankisch, St. Laurent, and Zweigelt from the vineyards in Heideboden which have sandy and clay soil with some chalk. The wine is true to the motto “Rosé for everyone”. The year 2024 had exciting weather; the spring was thankfully wet, the summer was unpredictable and frequently warm, and the harvest was conducted in mostly sunny but perfect conditions. After a few hours of mashing, the grapes were pressed, allowed to ferment spontaneously, and then matured for a few months in steel tanks.
Lively, refreshing and fruity. Taut and inviting, with a linear structure and revitalizing acidity. Impresses on the nose with subtle but long-lasting aromas reminiscent of raspberries, cherries, and citrus fruits. Appears agile, youthful, and elegant on the palate – less like a wise king than like a young and carefree prince who enjoys the moment with a radiant and light mind.
