The 2023 vintage of the Rose Konig is a blend of Blaufrankisch, St. Laurent, and Zweigelt from the vineyards in Heideboden which have a sandy and clay soil with some chalk. The wine is true to the motto “Rosé for everyone”. The year 2023 had exciting weather; the spring was thankfully wet, the summer was unpredictable and frequently warm, and the harvest was conducted in mostly sunny but perfect conditions. After a few hours of mashing, the grapes were pressed, allowed to ferment spontaneously, and then matured for a few months in steel tanks.

Lively, refreshing and fruity. Taut and inviting, with a linear structure and revitalising acidity. Impresses on the nose with subtle but long-lasting aromas reminiscent of raspberries, cherries and citrus fruits. Appears agile, youthful and elegant on the palate – less like a wise king than like a young and carefree prince who enjoys the moment with a radiant and light mind.
