Fresh & lively: Lower-Alcohol Wine Highlights

We’re spotlighting a selection of vibrant, easy-drinking wines in a range of styles, white, red, rose and sparkling that sit around – or under 11% alcohol.

Aphros Loureiro (10.5%) – A pure expression of the Loureiro grape from Vinho Verde, Portugal with bright citrus and floral character, and a backbone of granitic minerality.

Aphros Phaunus Amphora Loureiro (10.5% ) – Skin-contact style fermented in clay amphorae, textured yet vibrant, with notes of citrus, candied orange peel, tangerine, and grapefruit. Touch of spice with cinnamon, white pepper and marjoram, and bergamot with a fine tannin that holds it all together.

Aphros Phaunus Pet Nat (10.5%) – Natural pétillant sparkling wine made from Loureiro and Arinto. Super refreshing with floral aromas, notes of citrus and herbs.

Drink Me Nat Cool Branco (10.6%)- Crafted to be chilled, fresh and fun, the first rule of Nat Cool is there is no rules. Made in the Vinho Verde region, unfiltered and re-fermented in the bottle, resulting in a fine spritz, making it even more fun.

Max Ferdinand Richter – Zeppelin Riesling (10.5%) A classic Mosel with elegant fruit and crisp acidity. Fermented down to off-dry levels, notes of grapefruit, lemon, herbs and green apple.

Peninsula Viticultores – Skin Contact Albarino (10.5%) – Orange-style Albarino displaying rich stone fruit and texture. Stone fruit, orange peel, grapefruit, and a touch of saffron.

Wagner Stempel Rosé (11%) – Subtle aromas of red currant, raspberries, and strawberries. Dry, fresh and invigorating acidity and minerality.

Bertram Baltes – Handwerk Spatburgunder (11%) – A refined Spatburgunder from the Ahr region, sour cherries, wild raspberries and subtle elderberry notes, complemented by delicate floral hints and a refreshing mineral edge, revealing elegant and expressive bouquet. Decant before serving.
