Les Boucauds from the lieu-dit of the same name is the Domaine’s historic cuvée, the blend of the different parcels coming together to create this wine. The vines take their different characters from varying kimmeridgian soils, the base of the slope consists of relatively thick clay-based marl. As the parcels rise in elevation so the soil becomes rich in fossils, and thus more mineral, more limestone influenced. 

The solid base of clay soil gives a discreet nose, but significant body on the palate. Maturation in the barrel brings structure and texture to the wine. It is a perfect match for seafood, offering a perfect balance to saline and iodine flavours.
