Learn More About This Wine

Xarel.lo is a very special variety from the Penedes region that has a great ageing potential given its high content of resveratrol, a natural antioxidant present in the skin of grapes. Planted in 2007, the vines grow on a plot of almost two hectares facing southwest where clay-calcareous soils predominate. Biodynamic agriculture, with which the farm works, favour the plants to express the best of themselves in their fruits resulting in a wine showing all the potential of its terroir. 

After sorting, the grapes are pressed whole bunch and only free-run juice is used. The wine ferments in oak foudres, where it is also aged on the lees. 

The wine is expressive and seductive, with a determined personality and combines notes of Mediterranean herbs, citrus and stone fruits typical of Xarel.lo with those notes of ageing. Pleasant, voluptuous and capable of accompanying an endless number of gastronomic dishes.
