Livia Fontana

Based in Castiglione Falletto, Livia Fontana is a family-run estate with more than two centuries of history in the Langhe. Today, the eight generation is represented by Livia and her two sons, Michele and Lorenzo, who continue a tradition in a deep connection to the vineyards and the land. 

The estate farms around ten hectares across some of the Langhe’s most prized sites, including Villero in Castiglione Falletto. Nebbiolo forms the heart of the estate, producing expressive Barolo’s that reflects the character of each vineyard. 

Viticulture is guided by careful, sustainable farming, with particular attention to integrated pest management, manual work and respect for the natural balance of the vineyards. In the cellar, traditional methods are complemented by modern technology, always with the aim of allowing the fruit and its place of origin to speak clearly. 

For the Fontana family, wine is more than a product, it is a way of expressing a place, a heritage, and a way of life. Their wines bring together generations of knowledge, a respect for tradition and a commitment to quality, carrying the history of the family and the Langhe forward in every bottle.
