Well it was another successful year for Spit festival where we teamed up again with Grape Circus, Nomad Wine and Vinos Tito. This was the first time we ventured across the Liffey and took Spit to… The North Side. The river may divide the city but it certainly doesn’t divide Dublin’s love of wine. The venue was sprawling with many wine lovers from the hospitality industry and consumers alike.
The space used this year was The Chocolate Factory on King’s Inn Street. With a warehouse feel and the incredible natural lighting from the floor length windows, this seemed like the perfect venue for Spit this year and we were not wrong. The only disappointment being that despite how the name would have you to believe there was no chocolate in sight on the day, wine had to suffice. Such is life.
WineMason had the pleasure of having Alex Starey from Keermont join us on the day as well as welcoming back Paulo Silva from Niepoort .
If you missed it this year, fret not, Spit will be returning in 2019 for some more wine tasting antics and we can’t wait!
