Reflets de Rivière Brut comes from Goutorbe-Bouillot, a family-run estate based in Damery, in the Vallée de la Marne, one of Champagne’s notable subregions. This Champagne is a blend of Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The reliance on Meunier (60%) gives it a fruity, approachable character with freshness. Equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Aromas and flavours of orchard fruits, citrus zest and brioche. There’s a clear mineral undertone with fine acidity, no malolactic and a dosage of 8g/l gives a well balanced champagne. The wine is lively, with fine, persistent bubbles with 30 months aging of lees emphasizing purity and complexity. Complexity is added via reserve wines from a solera established in 1980.
