The red “Prieler classic”: Blaufrankisch aged in large wooden barrels with a delicate herbal and spice underlay, black berry fruit and a hint of orange zest. Juicy, fresh, red berry nuances, fine tannins. 

The grapes grow in nine different vineyards, almost all are on brown earth. Johanneshohe leaves the cellar after two years at the earliest, and sometimes only after three years, where it matures in large wooden barrels for most of the time.
