Rings
Weingut Rings is one of the rising stars of Germany’s Pfalz wine region. Based in Freinsheim, the estate is run by brothers Andreas and Steffen Rings, who have transformed their family’s former mixed farm into a beacon of terroir-driven, organic viticulture.
The Rings brothers are renowned for their meticulous work in both vineyard and cellar. Since taking the reins in the early 2000s, they have focused on crafting wines with precision, structure, and longevity – particularly from limestone-rich sites around Freinsheim, Kallstadt, and Ungstein.
Their signature lies in powerful, yet elegant Spätburgunders (Pinot Noir) that reflect the unique character of the Northern Pfalz. Deeply rooted in their soils and clearly inspired by Burgundy and the natural expression of place, their wines have attracted critical acclaim, including membership in the prestigious VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter) since 2015.
Working organically, with low intervention in the cellar, Weingut Rings produces expressive and age-worthy wines – from refreshing estate-level cuvées to Grosses Gewächs wines from premier single vineyards like Saumagen, Felsenberg, and Kalkofen.
A Rings wine always speaks with clarity, balance, and a quiet intensity – making the estate one of the most exciting names to watch in contemporary German wine.
