Azores Wine Company

The Azores Wine Company was created when António Macanita got involved in a project studying the grape varieties that inhabit the archipelagos. His efforts have saved varieties including Arinto dos Acores (not related to mainland Arinto), Verdelho and Terrantez do Pico of which there were less than 100 plants. This exclusivity goes hand-in-hand with a rarity observed in smaller productions that barely make it to the tables of all those interested in getting their hands on it. The wines are separated into two ranges: Rare Grapes Collection; Arinto dos Acores, Terrantez do Pico and the Volcanic Series; Rosé Vulcãnico and Tinto Vulcãnico.
