Learn More About This Wine

The Les Chasseignes lieu-dit is situated to the north-east of Sury-en-Vaux. The Domaine owns roughly 3 hectares there, mostly at the top of the slope and benefitting from excellent ventilation. The sub-soil is limestone, interlaced with seams of small pebbles. Giving the wines ample time to develop, better to express their limestone minerality, barrel maturation lasts 14 months. The wine is vinified and matured in wood, principally in large formats of 20hl and a few 350 litre barrels.

Opening with a frank, candid nose, it is the length and persistence on the palate that defines Les Chasseignes with its limestone minerality. The extra dimension brought by extended maturation gives the wine energy.
