The Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, being the neighbour downstream the Wehlener Sonnenuhr, has a similar south-south-west exposure and a steepness up to 35 degrees, but differs from the latter in as far as the soil is less steep, the roots hit on the firm slate rock sooner and are challenged more, there. The wines of the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr are very complex and show a dense minerality. They are usually more austere than its neighbour vineyards’ wines, and lower in acidity.
