Sommariva

This is a family run high quality estate with 40 hectares in the prized hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.  Adhering to eco-friendly practices in the vineyards, harvesting manually and with a rigorous approach to vinification Sommariva create sparkling wines of charm and freshness.

The family has always lived in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This land, with its varied landscapes, has shaped the Glera grape over centuries, producing wines with distinct character. Their vineyards extend into the Feletto area near San Pietro di Feletto, a historic center of winemaking.

In the 1930s, Conegliano perfected the Charmat Method, ideal for Glera grapes. Sommariva still follows this process: hand-picking, soft pressing, fermenting at controlled temperatures, and aging in steel tanks. The second fermentation creates the fine bubbles that define their Prosecco, supported by technology but guided by tradition and patience.
