Cave l'Ormarine
In the Herault region of the Languedoc the Ormarine Cellar was born from the merging of six fine cooperative cellars of Pinet, Villeveyrac, Cournonterral, Saint Hippolyte du Fort, Vias and Olonzac. The flagship wine is Picpoul de Pinet made from the Picquepoul grape which benefits from the influence of the Etang de Thau and the proximity of the sea to moderate an overwise warm climate. And while most Picpoul is made in an easy drinking style (Preambule) to accompany the locally produced oysters, clams and mussels, more serious wines can also be found (Duc de Morny) or even lees aged and oak aged examples.
