Villa della Torre

After being associated for several decades with the winery that bears her family name, Marilisa Allegrini recently established the Marilisa Allegrini Group, with three estates, one of which is Villa Delle Torre in Valpolicella. She has worked with consultant winemaker Andrea Lonardi MW to develop a new range of wines under the name Peaks and Valleys.

The Peaks & Valleys project is a tribute to Verona and its diverse winegrowing areas – Valpolicella and Soave. This initiative aims not only to showcase the wines themselves but also to highlight the unique territories that shape them: that shape them: from the rugged hills of Valpolicella, where the slopes meet the Adige River, to the volcanic soils of Soave’s gentle hillsides. These Peaks & Valleys form the very foundation of the wines. Consider, for example, the limestone vineyards of Valpolicella, connected to the Lessini Mountains, which produce light, crisp, and savoury red wines; the volcanic and calcareous slopes of Soave, which give rise to saline, mineral-driven, and age-worthy whites.

Peaks & Valleys selects its vineyards based on rigorous criteria: soil composition (limestone, volcanic), climate, exposure, and altitude – with each vineyard chosen for its unique combination of these factors – as well as native grape varieties, training systems (including traditional and modern pergola and vertical trellising), vine age, and plant heritage. Each wine in the portfolio authentically expresses its place of origin, while meeting contemporary standard for fine wine excellence.
