The Graacher Himmelreich vineyards are south, south-west aligned, with an elevation between 110 and 325 metres, with a slope of 24 to 36 degrees and blue and grey slate soils which are a great water reservoir. In hot dry years especially these vineyards can challenge those from the Wehlener Sonnenuhr. In general they are more accessible earlier than the Wehlener Sonnenuhr and are very mouthwatering with their racy acidity and a pronounced minerality.
