The Tartufaia is Negri’s youngest-drinking Barolo, meaning it is ready to be enjoyed now, but you could put away a couple of bottles to enjoy over the next few years. It is an open and expressive wine with the nose reminiscent of red berries and rain on hot asphalt, it still benefits greatly from aeration. There is grip as you might expect from a young Barolo, but also a purity of fruit that balances it out perfectly.
