Geil Nineteen Fifty Riesling Zellertal 2025
Learn More About This Wine
The Nineteen Fifty Riesling originates from a small vineyard in the Zellertal, located in the village of Molsheim in Rheinhessen. The vines, now around 75 years old, produce naturally low yields, allowing for remarkable concentration and depth in the fruit. The grapes were carefully hand-selected and crafted in a traditional, classic style.
After a gentle pressing, the must remained intentionally slightly cloudy and was transferred directly into spontaneous fermentation. This natural fermentation has created a vivid and expressive aromatic profile, lending the wine a distinctive wildness and character. It is being given the time it needs to fully develop. It reveals extraordinary depth and density, with a fascinating complexity that continues to evolve.
With 13% alcohol, 2.7 g/L residual sugar, and a balanced acidity of 6.7 g/L, this Riesling shows impressive structure and tension. The result is a wine of remarkable intensity, exciting, captivating, and deeply impressive, promising even greater complexity as it continues its maturation before release.
