Ried (single vineyard, cru) Lamm is situated on the southeast slope of the Heiligenstein. Erosion material from Ried Heiligenstein (perm, red siltstone) and a high proportion of clay is found here. The vineyard is south-facing and very well exposed, vines for the most part of Lyra training. THis helps to develop grapes resulting in a wine with power and elegance. 

This expressive Gruner Veltliner imposes with its multilayered aromas showing a lot of muscle but an elegant balance at the same time. Intensely yellow-coloured it is recognized for its ripe tropical notes, flintiness, refinement and persistence. Even though this wine is a stellar experience on its own it easily pairs with a variety of food like asian cuisine, oriental dishes and roasts. It is a well known benchmark on prized winelists around the world, suggesting excellent ageing potential. 

Ried Lamm is one of the icons of the Danube wine area. Its unique perm geology grows wines that often remind wine experts of Burgundy. Beneath a rich and creamy texture there is structure, complexity and elegance.
