Single vineyard trellised Chardonnay on the foothills of the Helderberg facing False Bay where only 4 rows of these vines stand. Seelug means Sea Air, after the vineyard where you can feel the cool, salty air, Pieter describes it as air conditioning for the vineyard.
The grapes were pressed as whole bunches and the juice underwent spontaneous fermentation in older French oak as well as 40% new barrels. 10 months on the lees, blended and bottled.
