WineMason provides independent retailers and restaurants with original and distinctive wines.
The list is growing and evolving and to keep pace with changes we plan on having two editions this year, one in April and a second in October.
The new wines as of Spring 2017 come from many different places and in many different styles. You will hopefully try these for yourself at one of a number of tasting events this year.
In terms of our new wines: From Jura we have four super wines from two winemakers, made in three different styles. Additions to Burgundy are from Macon, Beaujolais and the Cote de Nuits. There are new wines from the Languedoc and some terrific additions from Bordeaux. Looking at Austria, the red wines of Weingut Pittnauer have strengthened the list of wines we offer from this country.
From South Africa we have an increased range of top wines from BlankBottle Winery, De Morgenzon and Keermont. There are also additions to be found to Spain and Portugal. Finally our sparkling list has been refreshed and extended.
From each country, we have wines which are only available in limited quantities. These range in price, not all are expensive, what they have in common is their uniqueness or rarity value.
WineMason sells only to independent retailers and restaurants. With growth evident in the independent and restaurant sectors we aim to continue to source wines for you and your customers which are genuinely interesting, well priced and trending.

Barbara Boyle MW
Barbara was born into a very good port and sauternes vintage. She first encountered wine on a school trip to the Loire. She spent ten years working as an accountant, which facilitated a modest cellar, wine studies and travels. In 2001, Barbara completed a WSET Diploma in Wines & Spirits, and became a Master of Wine (MW) in 2016. Her Research Paper was on the effect of serving temperature on the sensory attributes of Ruby and Tawny Port. Barbara is responsible for wine buying, communications and finance. Ben was born into an off year for wine – but was not deterred from pursuing a wine career. He first studied in Germany and Scotland, then returned to Ireland to work for Searsons Wine Merchants from 1997 to 2001. He subsequently co-founded the Wicklow Wine Co. Ben has held a WSET Diploma since 2000, and his command of the German language extends to fluency with Riesling. The WineMason Portuguese portfolio was a result of Ben and Barbara’s first meeting – then marrying – in Porto. Austria followed, and then a growing brood of wines from other countries.
